Offering mindfulness in your workplace can help you differentiate yourself as an employer of choice, create a healthier work environment, boosting resilience and increasing employee satisfaction.

Mindfulness skills can contribute to reducing absenteeism, enhancing leadership, and driving productivity and innovation.

My workshops are a mix of theory, science and practical skills. They are an interactive experience, designed to improve competence in managing stress, effective communication, to enhance leadership and foster wellbeing.

Workshops last 60 minutes and can be booked as stand-alone events, or as a series.

Alison brings more than 30 years’ experience of working both in the private sector and as an independent. She has a background in communication and healthcare.

Introduction to mindfulness

What is mindfulness and how can it benefit you in the workplace? The science of mindfulness combined with some practical exercises and discussion. Topics covered may include the automatic pilot, and how poor emotional regulation can negatively impact focus, creativity and decision making. The session can include take-aways, such as guided meditations, for attendees to use to support themselves and to share with colleagues.

Mindfulness for managing stress

High levels of stress can be all too common in the workplace, leading to anxiety and burn out. Mindfulness skills can be used to cultivate attention and regulate emotion, reducing stress and fostering wellbeing. The workshop will cover the science of stress – and how to spot it in yourself and others. And will include some practical steps to practice mindfulness without anyone noticing. And how learning to manage stress can enhance resilience and productivity.

Mindset and employee wellbeing

Are you getting in your own way? This workshop takes a look at some of the habits of mind that make it hard for us to take care our ourselves. What really moves the dial in helping you stay motivated to look after your wellbeing. And what’s in it for you – how can looking after yourself mean you can also be more of who you want to be at work.

Mental health in the workplace

What is mental health and why is it important? This workshop will look at how we get into problems. And will explore how being more mindful can help. Including some ways to look after yourself and your colleagues.

Alison also offers guided meditations, for inclusion as part of employee events, such as wellbeing days.
